So glad summer is here! Not for the heat, but for the semi-lazy days of having the freedom to do what we want. We do have some commitments.. like 7am swim team, a week of Robotics camp, a week of Dance camp...and of course, our annual trip to San Diego. But those things are all fun and we are looking forward to them..except the early rising for swim. I really, really don't like getting up before 7..
Kalvyn finished her Sophmore year with straight A's.. and now off to EVIT next year for cosmetology. I am so proud of her for working so hard and making the tough decision to miss out on dance next year to pursue her career dreams. It was a tough decision but she really wants this. One more month til she gets that drivers license too.. So look out people, and start wearing those seatbelts.
Tate finished the 5th grade, also with straight A's. He had a great year with his teacher Mr. Saxen and will be in 6th grade next year with Mrs. Saxen. He loved hanging with his friends, science camp and sunsplash. Tate learned the tough lesson of telling friends secrets, like the girl he had a crush on, and having that spread like wildfire.. but he dealt with if very well.
Blake finished Pre-K this year. It was a bit of a challenge, due to his extreme shyness, but his teacher said he opened right up in class and made some great friendships. Although Pre-K graduation was an ordeal, due to the fact that Blake was too embarrased by everyone looking at him, he decided to cover his eyes during the entire ceremony. I am sure someday I will look back and laugh..but for now..I am mortified!
